This unique cabinet is both tall and shallow and likely came from a retail shop of some sort, the upper portion has glass doors and glass sides allowing viewing of contents from all angles in the room, the outer sections of the doors are rounded as narrow columns and have expertly carved upper capitals, a nod to the popularity of the English Victorian period, with 3 adjustable shelves, the back of upper portion with a metal reinforced hole allowing for attachment to a wall, the lower section with interesting raised panels, particularly the smaller shallow side panels, the lower section has no frontal access but has ample storage when accessed from the rear, perhaps a secret compartment only accessible from behind a wall, the cabinet is raised on large turned walnut feet.
