a "regulator clock" was generally owned by a jeweler and was the official time keeper of a village and as a result did not have a chime. the tall case clock in three sections, the upper section housing the, if not original, antique works with a convex glass cover framed in glass, the middle section with an oval window opening to reveal a heavy bronze pendulum, the lower section with small cabriole legs
