hanging from its original canopy from a centered iron rod and also having decorative "shield" form chainwork to the top corners of the lantern, with closed metalwork roof and raised crown, the four sides having clear and red glass panels outlined in iron and further reinforced by twisting iron rods, the bottom of the lantern open to allow passage of light from a later added 4-bulb cluster, with a point shaped terminal hanging from decorative chainwork
