the body of the chandelier in carved giltwood and in sections allowing space for the gilt iron arms which support a series of cut glass bead chains, the cut glass stars issuing the swags of oval bead chain, the lower tier extending to the arms, the arms gilt metal as well as the bobeches, of particular interest are the arms which are not typical tube form but are leaf-form and gilded. Everything on this chandelier is antique, the glass is, if not original to the chandelier, as old as the chandelier, the gilding on the arms and bobeches is in perfect condition. the wiring is now internal, the top of the arms being the only area where wire is seen.
