Having a rectangular top with canted corners, the veneers covering it radiating from a central sphere, raised on shaped trestle form legs connected by a shaped stretcher, a wonderful example of "folk" art from the 2nd quarter of the 19th century. The dark marks on top a result of oxidation of the joining nails.
