Likely from the Lombardia region of Italy, this console has a beautifully and elaborately inlaid and veneered top and apron, the veneers are a combination of walnut, olivewood, cherrywood, and pearwood among others, the shape is an exaggerated serpentine with rounded corners and good movement along the sides, the one drawer with two round pulls and an escutcheon all of bronze, raised on long shaped legs with slight decorative carving, the feet are of the drake variety. Some veneer replacements, structurally sound and functional.
