The octagonal top elaborately veneered with mixed woods in geometric patterns, hinged and opening to an interior reservoir with a folding carved wooden cover above a central storage section surrounded by 18 smaller sections, the apron is scalloped, the recessed escutcheon of brass, raised on a taperiong octagonal standard and joined to a tripartite base by carved acanthus leaves, the base raised on scroll feet, circa 1825-1830.
