having a square chopping surface comprised of many individual pieces of wood all bound together within an internal iron framework, the corners with heavy iron bracing, housing one drawer with decorative lower edge used for knife storage, raised on carved and turned tapering legs, retaining a brass plaque inscribed "BALAND LYON-VAISE"
