having a four board molded edge top above a case housing 3 drawers, a writing slide, and two doors with double interior compartments, with original hardware and locks, showing the restrained elegance of the Veneto region of Italy, the molding near the top and the graduated plinth base frame this handsome example of the late Baroque period into the beginning of the 1700s, the characteristic shell-form escutcheons and bronze pulls validate its Northeast Italian origin.
