French restauration period walnut and upholstered bergere, late first quarter of the 19th century, having a curved backrest with slight carvings at sides and a bronze-mounted decorative mask of mercury at upper section, the graceful arms extending to downwardly curved scrolls the outer sections mounted with large bronzes, raised on flared saber legs, upholstered in Scalamandre silk velvet and trimmed in patinated nailheads.
