from the Emilia Romagna region of Italy, square and having multiple layers of raised moldings, the inner and near outside moldings are gilded in silver leaf, the walnut frame ebonized but showing areas of fading where walnut is visible, now fitted with 4 panels of "antiqued" mirrorplate with a centered brass rosette
