having a rare and unique carved giltwood pediment depicting Native American Indians in feathered headdress, others carvings are shells, vines, scrolls, all surmounted by a female figure, the antique mirrorplate flanked by parquet veneered panels capped by carved capitals, the lower portion with leaved vines, the depiction of Native American Indians being very rare and remarkable as Europeans were just starting to be introduced to the indigenous peoples of the Americas whether by delegational visits or from eyewitness accounts and illustrations
