the carved wood frame with a series of mouldings consisting of lambs tongue, braiding, and egg and dart, the central moulding protruding further than the rest and all continuing to the bottom where they take on a columnar form, the columns connecting the bottom board which has carved gesso empire motifs, retaining original back and mercury glass mirrorplate, very good restored condition with slight losses to gilding and visible wood, all consistent with age
