of horizontal form the rectangular frame is bordered in a spiral twisting column, the upper block corners having carved gesso rosettes with leaf-form columns throughout, the center decoration of acorns and oak leaves, the upper ground with horizontal ribs above a giltwood molded edge and an inner ebonized liner, resting on ebonized bun feet. In excellent antique condition, some minor losses to gilt surfaces, overall very stable.
