frieze with shell and scroll carving, sides with descending scrolls, original gilt and gesso surface, features include a centered shell with leaves at either side, egg and dart molding, leaves extending from sides, underscrolls at base, on a molded edge plinth base, retaining antique mirrorplate. In excellent condition, recently retouched but retaining majority of original gilding, unfinished surfaces showing aged and oxidized patina
