Brass and Blown Glass Chandelier

composed almost entirely of its original parts except the replacement of one glass arm the chandelier is a beautiful example of the elegance of the late Empire or early Neoclassical movement of the first quarter of the 19th century, consisting of three concentric rings anchored in the center by two blown glass pieces and three wires that connect to the larger central ring, with graduated oval glass bead chains connecting the three, with prisms and glass diamonds hanging throughout and brass and glass palm fronds extending upward from the central ring, the original removable twisted blown glass arms resting in brass sockets.
