having a Biedermeier influence, the upper section having an arched top with giltwood dentile upper apron with columns flanking the glass door opening to reveal the clockworks which are of German origin, the case is of demilune form and opens with a right hand hinge to house the weights and a replaced pendulum, the door having a lozenge shaped glass window, the shape repeated at the base as a raised detail, the base of hexagonal form, possibly German.
