The rectangular top having a molded edge and a straight line bow shaped front, the chest initially juts out from the corners, then angles sharply inward to an eventual straight front, the result is a geometric stair step effect, constructed beautifully of walnut with intricate band and shaped inlays, the bronze handles original, the upper drawer housing an inner drawer at the left, from the Emilia Romagna region of Italy.
