probably from the border shared between France and Spain and possibly made for the English market, this mid 18th century secretaire is carved entirely of walnut and has ebonized moldings, the upper section with flared cornice, with 4 original panes of blown glass and having graduated shelves and locking doors, resting atop a lower section with a slant front desk, the interior incomplete or removed, having three deep drawers, retaining period patinated brass hardware
