Early 18th C.
Appearing to have the original clockworks made by Nicolas De Beefe A Malines, recently serviced, this massive case is constructed entirely of walnut and represents a transition in styles of the second quarter of the mid-18th century, the works has a striking bell on top and another larger bell secured in the top of the bonnet, strikes on the quarter hour, the base with a copper liner, circa 1740.
